“The white cabbage cure is the most beneficial for eliminating toxins that accumulate in different organs of the human body, in fatty tissue, and in cell membranes. The three organs with the highest capacity to store toxins (harmful substances) are, respectively, the liver, kidneys, and lungs. In general, toxins are poisonous and protein-based substances that are soluble in fat but not in water.
Because toxins are fat-soluble, they are stored in the body’s fatty tissues. If they were water-soluble, they could easily be eliminated from the body through the kidneys via urine or through sweating without being stored. Certain active compounds found in white cabbage activate the body’s biotransformation mechanism (which converts fat-soluble foreign substances into water-soluble ones), thereby enabling toxins to become water-soluble. Once they gain this property, toxins are expelled from the body through sweating, through the kidneys via urine, and via the gallbladder and intestinal system in the form of stool.
White cabbage is one of the best detoxifying agents. Being a detoxifier means cleansing the body. Detoxification and antioxidant properties are entirely different concepts.”
